Inside a vacuum tube, the heater is a coiled wire filament that brings the cathode to operating temperature so the tube can conduct properly. It is the first thing to glow, and the glow is orange and warm, and this pendant takes that form and scales it up to be almost like chain loops. The bottom of the pendant is threaded to accept the titanium ring bases from the “Titan Chess Set”, so any tube in the set can be taken from the board and hung from this pendant on a titanium chain. The tube itself becomes another separate piece from the chess set and can stand on its own without losing its allure. A large output tube hangs heavy. A small signal triode sits higher on the chest.
